Chocolate Buttercream Frosting


1 c. or 2 sticks organic butter
½ c. Equal Exchange Organic Baking Cocoa 
¼ c.  Equal Exchange Guatemalan Honey 
1 Tbsp. organic vanilla extract


Leave the butter on the kitchen counter to come to room temperature, about 1 hour. Place the butter, cocoa powder, honey and vanilla extract in the work bowl of a food processor. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust the sweetness, if desired. The frosting should be soft and creamy and will stiffen when you put it on your cake and refrigerate it.

Makes 1 ¾ cups

Frosts one 8 or 9-inch cake
